Spring is quickly approaching, and we have a lot of fun things planned to finish out our wonderful school year.

There is a lot of great information in this monthly newsletter but we also utilize Facebook for ongoing information and hope that you follow us there!

We had such a magical time at our 2022 Daddy Daughter Garden Gala! The girls had so much fun dancing the night away. We had nearly 400 dads and daughters in attendance. WOW! 

A big THANK YOU to all of the fabulous volunteers, parents, and staff members at WCHE who came together to host the Daddy Daughter Garden Gala! This was a massive team effort led by Darby Pearson and our wonderful dance committee.

A BIG shout out and Thank You to The Lighthouse Restaurant who generously donated appetizers for the Daddy/Daughter Garden Gala.

We are very lucky to have such fantastic volunteers in our community! We could not have done it without their help!

Every month, our Staff Appreciation Committee puts together special activities for our teachers and staff at WCHE. Activities range from breakfast, lunches, stocking the break room, gift cards and more! Our wonderful appreciation committee loves on our staff to show them how much we appreciate them! A special shout out to Carrie Andrews for leading our Staff Appreciation Committee along with Trisha Zager. They do a fabulous job!

In January, we provided charcuterie boxes for all the staff. January was a tough month for the staff as they experience staff shortages due to Covid. They banded together and kept the school rolling without missing a beat! It was so nice to be able to gift them a fun box filled with some yummy goodies!

For February, Taco Twos Day took on a whole new meaning! The staff were treated with a taco bar to celebrate. They loved the tacos! We are grateful to be able to love on our staff each and every month thanks to our wonderful parents and community here at WCHE. 

Special recognition was also shown to our wonderful counselor, Ms Sheila White. She loves on our kiddos every single day! We greatly appreciate her and all her support.

Your kid's favorite day is almost here! Field Day is March 9th and 10th. Visitors are welcome to attend. *RSVP to have your badge ready at the door!*

Don't forget! March 14-18 is Spring Break.

We are excited to announce that our Parent Mixer Committee has been busy planning this year's parent mixer. 

Fiesta Time! will be Friday, April 1st from 6-9 pm at Blissful Hill here in Spicewood. It will be a Cocktail Casual style kid-free evening with dinner, drink tickets, dessert, live music, online auction and more! 

Tickets are now are sale at our pre-sale price of $45. Ticket prices increase on March 12, so purchase your tickets now! We will also have shuttles to and from WCH park, so you don't have to drive! 

This is going to be a really fun evening for our WCHE parents and staff. We hope you can join us as all proceeds will benefit WCHE PTO to provide learning enrichment opportunities for our students and staff. 

We are currently looking for Sponsors and Donations for our upcoming Parent Mixer!

If you or your company is interested in sponsoring the event or have a donation, we'd love to talk with you! We have lots of needs currently. 

All the proceeds from our Parent Mixer go directly to the WCHE PTO to provide learning enrichment opportunities to our students.

If you are looking to join a fun group of WCHE parents that love to support our school, we would love to have you consider joining the WCHE PTO board for 2022-23! If you're enthusiastic about all things WCHE, this is your opportunity to jump in and help. If you've never volunteered with PTO before, that's ok! Leadership roles are open to all parents of WCHE students.

The positions are: Membership, Fundraising, Staff Appreciation,Treasurer

Every year we welcome new Tigers, whether they are our new Kindergarteners or new to West Cypress Hills. On February 22, the online registration for Kinder - 5th grade new-to-WCHE students began and can still be accessed through the Lake Travis ISD website. (See handy link button below.) You can complete the enrollment packet online and upload the required documents. 

A link to sign up for Kindergarten assessments will be provided after families complete and upload their 2022-23 Kindergarten enrollment documents.

A student will not be enrolled until ALL below documents have been received.

We have been receiving a lot of requests on ways to support our great school. We are currently looking for sponsors for our PTO. We'd love to partner with you on how best we can support our school. If you know of someone within our community that would love to support our school, please reach out to our PTO president for more information.

Donations are also accepted! All donations go directly to support the programs and events our organization offers. No amount is too small - please consider making a donation today!
